A Cute book for Boy's (How to talk to Girls)
This Weekend me and the family visited are local book store and i saw this book and thought this would be a great read for my 12 year old.I knew this would keep his interest and not be one of those books that collected dust on the shelf and i was right he read the whole book before we even got home.Than when he got to the end he told me the book was wrote by an eight year old and he thought that was really great there is one part of the book He advises boys to pursue “regular girls” instead of pretty girls. “Pretty girls are like cars that need a lot of oil,” he writes, adding that pretty girls are more likely to dump a boy than regular girls.Don't like what he write's in this part of the book but let's remember this is a eight year old other than that i thought it was pretty cute and my son loved it.
Alec Greven, a fourth-grader at at Soaring Hawk Elementary School in Castle Rock, Colo., began writing the book "How to Talk to Girls" — about the dos and don'ts of dating — when he was 8 years old. The book came out of a school writing assignment, and he so impressed his teacher and principal that the book was sold for $3 at the school book fair and became the fair's top seller. The book eventually made its way into the hands of a publisher

Why playing with blocks, Legos and other building toys is important

One of the main things that these types of toys do is to encourage a child to use their imagination. I think that parents and yes, some teachers, sometimes fail to see the importance of imagination in a child's play. I believe that too much play with high tech games and computerized toys might even serve to dull a child's imagination. Having a child with ADHD playing with legos has had a great impact on his creative side this is the one thing he never loses interest in.He will build and take it part and build again He loves to show his friends and family his newest creations. He has always struggled to learn so when we do math i grab his lego blocks since this will keep his interest this worked well when he was smaller so for learning adding and subtracting we would use the lego blocks for example if mommy has four legos and i take two away how many are left ?and he loved this idea for learning try it with your little ones learning with there toys makes learning fun
"If you and your child were on a deserted island, and you could only bring one toy what would it be?" my answer would Legos. If I couldn't bring Legos I'd at least hope I could bring some other type of building set.
Snap-together building sets show children how things can fit together to create a larger unit. When children build with someone else they sometimes learn to work with someone else and have fun playing with someone else,
Children begin to benefit from play that involves blocks, legos and similar toys, at a very young age. so you can never go wrong with legos great for boys and girls

Chuck E. Cheese's History
Chuck E. Cheese's was founded by Nolan Bushnell (founder of Atari & Pong), in May 1977. The first Chuck E. Cheese's was located on Winchester Boulevard, in San Jose, California. The concept for Chuck E. Cheese's evolved from Mr. Bushnell's belief that there were not enough places where young people could go to play video games that had a family atmosphere.
In 1984 the parent company to Chuck E. Cheese's, Pizza Time Theatre Inc. was purchased by their direct competitor at the time Showbiz Pizza. A few years later it was decided to change the target audience to focus specifically on families with young kids. Both the Chuck E. Cheese's and ShowBiz names continued to be used until 1992, when Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza became the name for all of the restaurants.

Today, our mission is simple, bring families together in a wholesome environment for fun, games and kids. Chuck E. Cheese's consists of over 500 entertainment centers in 48 states and 6 countries.

Is Your Child Carrying the Right Backpack?
How to Buy the Best Backpack

When purchasing a new backpack, great design is key. Here's how to spot the right one.
• Have your child try on the backpack in the store. If the pack can't be adjusted to rest on the lower back, it's the wrong size and won't be comfortable.
• Check for curved, padded shoulder straps and waist and sternum straps.
• Open up the bag and make sure your child can see inside and find things easily.
• Look for packs made of hardy materials like ballistic and ripstop nylon. A backpack tends to have a hard-knock life of being unceremoniously plopped, kicked, and thrown, and weaker materials don't stand a chance.
• When a zipper breaks, it can mean the end of a backpack's life — and more money spent on a replacement. Purchasing a backpack with zipper pulls or attaching them yourself helps your child open the pack more easily, reducing stress on zippers and preventing breaks.
• Have your child try on the backpack before the start of each new school year. "Kids grow relatively quickly between the ages of 8 and 16, so what fits one year might not fit well the next year
How to Adjust Your Child's Backpack
You know that fit is everything when it comes to clothing, and the same is true for backpacks. Before your kid heads off to school,
• Tighten shoulder straps so the weight of the pack rests on the lower back.
• Clip sternum and waist straps together — they help to distribute the backpack's weight so shoulders are less burdened.
• Ask the school if extra copies of heavy textbooks are available to keep at home for homework, so your child doesn't have to lug them home each night. If your child leans forward while carrying his backpack, it's too heavy.
No parent wants her child to bear too much weight on his shoulders, but he might leave for school every morning carrying just that — a heavy, uncomfortable backpack.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that a child not carry more than 10 to 20 percent of his body weight on his back daily. And backpack woes can extend beyond heft; lost items inside, ripped fabric, and broken zippers can all bring on the tears.
But with a few simple adjustments, you can make your child's backpack more comfortable.

I highly recommend that you try on a pair. You will not be disappointed I absolutely love these tennis shoes. I have bought many pairs of tennis shoes during my lifetime, but I have not been satisfied with any of them that is until I purchased LA Gear's Walk-N-Tone.LA gear walk n tone sneakers feel very light on your feet while you are walking, i wear them everywhere, walking the dog, doing the grocery shopping. i feel they have done what they claimed to do which is tone your legs and buttocks while walking and the best part is you dont even realize you are doing anything these are one comfortable pair of sneakers
These have to be the most comfortable shoes i have ever put on my feet really i was truly amazed at the comfort i felt when i put these on it was like walking on a cloud.I have a lot of back problems and these truly make it more comfortable for me to walk.

30 Days of Change
January 31 – March 1
This year, we are asking you to do something for the NFED that you have probably done many times without even thinking about it. Save your ‘change’ for the NFED!
At the end of each day, check your pockets, your wallet, your purse, your washer, your dryer, your couch cushions…or wherever your “change” accumulates. Throw it in a special container for the NFED. We are setting aside January 31 through March 1 for this year’s effort – a special “30 Days of Change” in honor of the 30th Anniversary of the NFED!
Get everyone you know involved - family, friends and community. Cash in all the change. Write a check made payable to the NFED. Add a note that your donation is for “30 days of change.” Mail to the NFED.
